Today, Ms. Betty, U.S. Embassy Alumni Coordinator, visited Shilu ANA Tanzania in Dar es Salaam on behalf of the U.S. Embassy in Tanzania. The purpose of her visit was to encourage enhanced collaboration among U.S. alumni, underscoring the significant impact of U.S.-funded exchange programs.
She was received by Mr. Musa Kalangahe, Shilu ANA’s Country Manager and a distinguished Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF) alumnus. Mr. Kalangahe represented the company in the absence of Mr. Dut Majak, the founder of Shilu ANA and an International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) alumnus from South Sudan.
Discussions focused on how Mr. Majak’s IVLP experience and Mr. Kalangahe’s MWF training have collectively contributed to Shilu ANA’s mission. The Embassy representatives emphasized that this partnership exemplifies the potential for U.S. alumni from diverse programs and countries to collaborate effectively, demonstrating the lasting reach and positive impact of these exchange initiatives.
